The 2011 revive of the MacBook Air range has established great reviews so far from IT Professionals, including those at PCPro. Both   the 11 and 13inch models have benefited from Sandy Bridge processors, both packing a low-voltage Core i5 processors. The 13inch Air incorporates the Core i5-2557M processor which boasts a core clock speed of 1.7GHz that can be boosted to 2.7GHz when necessary. The turbo boost works in Windows as well as OS X Lion. Apple has patented a plan for a keyless keyboard. The glass topped drawing features no moving parts but instead works using audio and piezo-electric sensors. The system compares sounds made by tapping of the screen to a database of autograph determining which key is being used. The keyboard would still display the traditional Qwerty keys but three sensors within the keyboard would be “sufficiently precise” to triangulate the location of the tap said the patent

Apple have withdrawed their white MacBook  and have in its place announced updates to the Air and mini range.The Air now features a backlit keyboard, Thunderbolt interconnect and has been updated with Intel's latest Core i5 and i7 processors.The Air has also come down in price and now costs the same as the last generation of MacBook, £849 for the 11inch version. The 13inch version starts at £1,099. The new Air and Mini are both accessible from nowadays.

Sky customers can now watch sports, some movies, news and ESPN on their iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone.Subscribers to Sky can now download Sky Go from the Apple app store for free.  The Sky Go app lets you watch selected channels with the option to pause and rewind live tv.

Microsoft have out an update for the Xbox 360 today, insufficiently, the update adds no new features, but is future to prepare your console for helpful improvements. Of the new features, perhaps accessible as soon as next week, one is expected to be Avatar Kinect. This will allow users to take part in helpful multiple themed chat rooms as their chosen avatar, which will move it's mouth as you speak.

Apple complete last night that the new version of their operating system, Mac OS X Lion, will launch today.The Lion will take a lot of features of the iOS operating sytem, such as a 1 click bazaar for the app store, better gesture integration and a homescreen alike to the iPad which allows users to 'swipe through' apps. Apple calls this 'Launch Pad'.
